Preparing for Dawngaurd

Post » Fri Jun 15, 2012 12:42 am

What sort of character do people think is going to sort this dlc well, I was just going to stick with my lvl 32 high elf mage who has 11 perks saved up specifically for the new vampire/werewolf trees. Now though i'm not sure if melee stats would be better to have.

Opinions/Speculations????

No need, you get vampire/werewolf perks by svcking blood or clawing victems respectively.

Perhaps running around svcking blood from people only grants you the ability to unlock the perk, but you still need a perk point to recieve the perk.

Nope, it was confirmed in the GI article, Beth knows that high level characters would not be able to allocate perks to the beast trees, so he made a new system specifically for that.

I mean, I am level fifty, and now that my four most common skills are level 100, (2handed, 1 handed, block, heavy armour,) I really doubt I will level up past 50.

I think this dlc will leave most of the holds of skyrim empty ghost towns if killing people and stealing their souls is the way to level up vampires xD civilians apparently make excellent targets!

You only need to svck thier blood, I think, which does not kill them. Also, you can buy blood packs which count and do svcking as sneak attacks

From what I saw in the screenshots the new perk trees are separete from the skills menu and only available while you are in the "beast" form (werething or vampire lord) and they are advanced by eating people in both cases. Functionally that's a whole new system.

And I SO hope they make it moddable! It may not have been viable with skills because the way they were increased was mostly hardcoded but because the new "beast" skills are using scripted events instead there's no reason to keep it out of modders hands!

I'd rather be in third person in Vampire Lord state. Look how Badass they look!

I'm making an Argonian Occult Knight. Heavy on the restoration magic, Alteration Magic, Conjuration magic, and is an expert in Destruction spells.

Yeah.. Using Flame Cloak with Augmented Flames(2), Circle of Protection(All buffed with Necromage), and Dawnbreaker sword. Summoning a Flame Thrall or Dremora Lord. All while decked out in Heavy armor, and a mages hood.

I can't see the vamps putting up much of a fight.
