Pretty much just want my money back

Post » Mon Jan 17, 2011 3:39 pm

I love this game (besides the 5-15 minute intervals I get to play it in), but im pretty much to the point where id rather of just had 60 bucks in my pocket.

Playing is a constant hassle. CTD over and over and over. Tried everything: exe, dll, downgraded video drivers, and lowering graphics and such, steam clouds off, DX is good. Theres no way in hells im playing this game on low looking like atari, that just kills it. Computers above average, and should have NO problem running this game on high or even ultra high. I play BFBC2 and MoH all out all day long no lag no crash, and even star wars galaxies.

Really really hope there is going to be a fix for this soon.... I dont normally cry about this, but dang....its pretty frustrating now.

(btw- running XPS 410 with gt240)

Still the game is not more demanding than Fallout 3 and using an engine that is quite old.
I know RPGs have more bugs than shooters due to all possibilities you have, But those bugs are OK in my book what isn't are CTDs and performance issues under Windows 7.

If that were true then how come it does so good with any other game I play? ive upgraded a few things and keep it clean and running smooth, so it is certainly not below avg or outdated.

Irrelevant.
Exact same problems persist with people who are far beyond the minimum (or even recommended) specs.

But you knew that, didn't you?

Exactly. And in fact, from the reports on this forum, it appears that the better the specs, the worse the problems, particularly when it comes to graphics cards. Crazy.

Very outdated cpu and graphics card but that's not your problem. You should be able to run everything on low settings/res. Turn off all unnecassary processes then boot the game up again could be a conflick somewhere. Uninstall you graphics drivers and use a driver cleaner, then reinstall. But let us be serious, THIS GAME IS F'ing BROKEN. Good luck to you.

Exactly.

The amount of hit-and-run fan boy* trolls around these forums who try to defend or even deny F:NV's current fubar state just keeps growing.
(*oh wow, the game is rated Mature but you can't even use the fan-to-the-boy word around here....)

Well think about it. What does mature mean?, are insults mature? , dont think so. Saying insults and cr@p is the exact opposite of mature.

Its a rated mature game so i expect mature people to be in this forum .

Wow, a lot of rude remarks in this thread.

For those of those who are unsure, these forums are rated 13+ and as such post content should be kept appropriate. Perhaps reading the forum rules would help, they are pinned at the top of every forum. Believe me, you don't want to hear from a moderator via PM if you break those rules.
