Private Morales quest

Post » Sun Jul 03, 2011 8:36 am

Hi,
I was wondering about this little quest at Camp McCarran where you see this crying lady solder and she asks you to go get the corpse of the husband.
She dosen't give you good directions and when you look at the map it dosen't show were he is.
Just by luck looking at every icon on the map I found him near the Repconn Headquarters.
Using grab I carried him to the NCR guys near by and they gave me a big buildup of how brave I was and stuf and took his body.
When I went back to the lady solder to tell her she was glad and thanked me..... But !
I didn't get any XP points or ncr cash or anything and I used up about 100 caps of ammo on that quest.
Was that a bug, I have heard that their are bugs in Fallout New Vegas but I haven't seen any ,was that one of them.
Thanks

Jenn

I think the point of that free form quest was selflessness. So it would be kind hypocricitical if you got a reward out of it.

100 caps worth of ammo WOW becuase you know by that point you totally don't have 10,000 caps already.

It's an unmarked quest, meaning you won't see a quest notification or a map marker in your Pip-Boy. The place his body is located at is a marked place on the map, called Ranger Morales' Corpse. It's right beside Repcon Headquarters, and his body is guarded by several Fiends. Once you kill the Fiends, you have to pick his body up with the Grab Action, and carry it north following the road that runs between Repcon, and Ranger Morales' Corpse, to the guards who are standing behind a sandbag wall. Once you drop the body they make a comment to you, then you can return to his wife at McCarran, and tell her you found him, and that he is in the hands of the NCR. I can't remember what or how much she gives you for a reward.

Thank you ,if I had 10,000 caps why would I cry about 100 caps.
I really hate games that make you rich and prefer to work hard to make a few caps.

http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/A_Final_Plan_for_Esteban It says either good karma or 50 caps. You might want to be careful if you haven't seen the fallout wiki yet. It's got all the spoilers to ruin the game for you. Use it with caution.
