Problem installing Mass Effect 3 from disc?

I'm mad beyond words. I bought original DVD Mass Effect 3 for PC, with 2 discs.
I put in the first disc, it makes me install Origin.
I install it, then it requires me to update it.
I update it, it says I need to create an Origin account in order to continue my installation of ME3.
I do that as well, and then I enter the activation code and activate the game. Origin puts ME3 in my library, under "my games".

Then it suddenly FAILS the installation. I search for the button "install", to restart the process, but no. There is only the button "download". Origin requires me to download the entire game from the internet when I had gone and bought a 2 disc original DVD only to SKIP that part and install from the disc. I search on the web, they tell me to restart origin, if it doesn't work, uninstall and re-install Origin. I do so and restart the process, and then what happens? When I enter my production code, it gives the error "code has already been used", and cancels the installation! Of course it has been used, I have just used it to activate my game. All this while the game sits in my Origin library with the button "download" next to it.

I have searched and searched and still haven't found a valid work-around for this. Origin employees have stated they are still investigating the issue. How hard is it to just test your game works before publishing it? What's more, it has been months since the release date and there is still no fix!

I'll be absolutely grateful for just any help about this issue I'm having.
