Can anyone out there help me out a bit here please?

I'm playing this game on the X Box 360, and so far I know there have been some very annoying bugs I have encountered thorugh not being able to complete quests e.t.c.

I've picked up yet another one in a very looooonnnng line of very annoying bugs in this game , and I'd like to know if anyone else has encountered the same one here from my description.


Okay.... so a while back, I picked up an item from a dungein crawl quest called a

So today, I decided to have a look through the Skyrim Wiki site and see what quest this item is linked to so that I can do the quest and get it out of the way, and not have to bother having one of those quest items stuck in my Inventory for absolutey ages!

I find that it's linked to a quest called

On that page, it says I have to complete 5 more jobs in the city of Markarth to be able to start "Silver Lining."
So far today, I have completed 3 side quests from the Inn, then handed them into to the Jar'ls uncle (I forget his name) to collect the bounty from him each time.


Now, after about 3 sidequests completed, I go back to the INN (The Silver Blood Inn) once again, and receive yet another bounty to kill a Forswarn leader..... this time at Red Eagle Redoubt.

At first, when I click the quest in my quest log, it didn't do anything at all, and wouldn't show me the location of where this place is on the map. So I read up on Skyrim Wiki again, only to later find that I have already been to this location in the past, and that I have already
been to kill the forswarn leader there before. That is why the quest in my quest log wouldn't show me the location when I clicked on it.

Near the bottom of the page, it says about bugs :

"If you have previously killed the leader of the Red Eagle Redoubt and get the task to kill him again you must reanimate the body and kill him a second time."

So I thought to myself, okay, I'll g up there with a reanimate spell, bring the forswarn leader back up, and kill him again in the hope this will let me complete the side quest in Markarth.

I get to the leader, raise him back up, kill him again, and...... nothing! Absoluteluy nothing!
By which I mean, the quest will not update for me, and I'm now stuck with a quest in my log.... STILL telling me to kill the leader of
Red Eagle Redoubt!

This also means I cannot complete another 2 or 3 side quests to get 5 so that I can start that other quest - "Silver Lining," thus I still have this quest item stuck in my Iventory!
How COMPLETELY and UTTERLY FRUSTRATING indeed!!

I'd like to know if anyone else out there has had this same problem too? (besides other annoying bugs in this game )

Also I'd like to know, does anyone know if there will ever be any kind of a fix to all these bugs for this game on the X Box 360?
It's so VERY frustrating to be playing through content of a game with really beautiful surroundings, to realise that hey.... I cannot complete this or that quest becuase it's absolutely RIDDLED to death with all these horrible bugs! Sometimes its just puts me right off frome playing.

I'd be very glad to get hold of a future patch if there ever was one! *sigh!* :-/

Silver Lining is a Thieves Guild quest. The five jobs the article refers to are five Thieves Guild jobs in Markarth. So either you have to join the Thieves Guild, or you're stuck with the silver mold.

As Aurora said Vex or Delvin in the Thieves guild give you the 'sidequests' that get you to the city influence quest for markarth, which requires joining the guild.

As for the 'Kill the forsworn leader' quest, have you tried to turn it in? It's possible you just didn't get the update via the journal but you'd still be able to turn it in.
