Problem with dualwielding spells

Post » Wed May 09, 2012 7:22 pm

I just figuered out a bug with dualwielding spells.
As i learned the perk for it i "equiped" the spark spell on both Hands an now i am unable to unequip the spark spell from my right Hand.
When i try to equip other spells it only equips the Left hand regalrdless if i press left/rightmouse or E.
When i try to equip/unequip spell it only changes between dualwield and right hand only.
I also tryd to equip a Twohanded Weapon but as soon as i unequip it or try to equip another spell it automatically equips the spark spell to the right hand and whatever i tryd to equip to the left Hand.

Is there any way i can unequip all spells? Or do i miss anything out? It quite frustrates me rigth now :<

I am having the same issue. I started a new character and the issue persists on both. Whichever spell I use first becomes perma-bound to that hand and it wont let me cast anything else from it. If I remove all spells and try to load a new spell, it defaults the new spell to the other hand and keeps loading this one to whichever hand I cast it from initially. (PC) My frustration level is such that I regret buying this game even though I looked forward to it for so long. Is there a work around for this or am I destined to remove the game from my PC on the very day I installed it?

One method that works is to favorite a spell to the Q menu and then open that menu "Q key" highlight the spell and bind it to a number -- exit the q menu - press the number button you assigned the new spell to (press the number twice if you want to dual weild it) this allows changing the spell in both hands and with a bit of work you can get the 2 spells you want equipped -- Also using the number to equip dual weapons will remove both spells.

Thank you for your response. I followed your directions and it has resolved the problem. It seems really odd to have to perform such work arounds to what should be a simple task, I do hope they fix this in a patch, but in the meantime it has made the game fun again.
