problem with Oakflesh and Stoneflesh

Post » Sun May 20, 2012 6:39 am

I would like to report that spells like "Oakflesh" or "Stoneflesh", that are used to improves the caster's armor rating, do not work!

After casting these spells, the damage that you suffer from any type of attack is exactly the same as before.

Can you fix that in next update ?

oh, and another little problem, the characteristic of some cooked foods (like vegetable soup, or venison stew) to restore 1 hp every second for 720 seconds, do not work. After eating these foods, regeneration speed of health is exactly the same as before.

for now it's just a waste of Magicka xD

i have a mage too, and even if I can survive without them, these spells would be very useful.

ah, there is also a similar problem on spells like "lesser ward" or "steadfast ward", they work on negate spell's damage, but fail on increase armor rating.

I suspect that, in general, any spell fails in increasing the armor.

Not certain but I believe the Oakflesh and Stoneflesh work properly only when you are not wearing any armour pieces.

I tried oakflesh and stoneflesh without armor pieces, but the result is the same.

There is a skill in the alteration perk tree, which doubles the effects of these spells if you are not wearing any armor pieces (the skill is "mage armor"), but normally they should work even wearing armor.

I have not yet obtained ebonyflesh, but are you sure it works ? i mean, have you tried to compare the damage suffered before and after the spell ?

I got a quiestion: do you have the regenerate magika bonus and it doesn't work during combat??? I have the master robes that have 150% regenarate magika and it works fine until the combat music kicks in, it regenarates really slowly. I also think the stoneflesh spells don't work during combat.

Magicka regeneration recovers more slowly during a fight. You still have the bonus', and they still work, but the -base- rate of magicka regeneration is penalised when fighting.

exactly, during combat the magicka regeneration speed is only 1/3 of normal speed, and normal health regeneration is halved.

i actually have 200% of magicka regeneration, i took 16,5 second to regenerate all my magicka, and 50 second in combat (16,5x3)

My Ebonyflesh (and Oakflesh, Stoneflesh) is broken as well. I receive the same damage whether I cast the spell or not - and being a pure mage, this makes fighting even bandit outlaws a grind :(
