Problems: Adopting children and moving to a new house

Post » Mon Dec 03, 2012 5:54 am

Hello everyone!

I've been having issues with Hearthfire. I brough the land in The Pale and started to build my house, with bedroom for the children and all. I wanted to have a family, I have a husband (Farkas).

Problem is, when I want to adopt the girl in Whiterun it gives me only the option to say "I have a house, but no room for you" What? I've build the room and it has children beds, the rest of the house is not finished. So my question is: Do I have to finish building the rest of the house (furnishing and all) to be able to adopt children?

I can adopt her if I upgrade Breezehome with a children bedroom. I tried the following: Sent Farkas to the house in the Pale and then adopting the girl in Breezehome, so we could all then move to the big house, but after I adopted the girl Farkas reappeared in Breezehome and no longer has the option to move to another house.

What am I doing wrong? I have other houses (Honeyside in Riften and Proudspire Manor in Solitude) could it be that I have so many that the scripts have become messy?

Sorry, I hope you can understand my post and help me!

No worries, likely you just have to build the dressers to go with the children's beds. They need to have both items.
