What's the problem with Lydia [HousecarlWhiterun]?


I can change every other NPC in Skyrim, Dawnguard and Hearthfires, but Lydia? All I am trying to do is change up some of her cosmetics, hair and armor. I do the Ctrl>F4 and then save. However, more than 50% of the time it won't save: And, if it does save --where I can save the file as Lydia or whatever her changes do not show up in game. I have even tried changing the the name of the "FaceTint" folder too. Does anyone know what the problem is? Thank you.
