Problems with DOS box

Hello everybody,

So i find myself here after trying to install a game from 1996 called "fable" by telstar studios. I seemed to have installed it properly as its "working" in the sense that i can play the game but it crashes repeatedly after a few minutes of play. I remember the game not crashing at all when i played it back in the day, so i may have done something wrong in the installation. I have the original CD from which i copied the contents to my HDD and installed it from there. i did this because i was not able to install it directly from the CD-rom as it did not detect a drive, other than the Z drive, to install the game to. Here are the lines i put to install it:

z:\ mount c c:\Documents\MyGames\Fable

z:\ mount e e:\ -t cdrom

c:

c:\install

the installation completes and the sound configures so i suppose its not a sound driver issue or something.

So if you could point out something that i may have missed or if it could just be the fact that its an old game (though i very much doubt it cuz i got Daggerfall to work perfectly)

thanks. :)

Sound and vid are both emulated in DOSbox, so it does not hurt to know the manual for DOSbox.

It not easy to get set up right, but once you do, it is sweet.

Good luck.

How about checking the DosBox http://www.dosbox.com/comp_list.php?showID=628&letter=F on that game? It looks like it needs some tweaking, but apparently it runs just fine.
