Maybe you just a normal soldier and you go back to the sphere beacuse you picked up a distress call, so you go back to the island for bout a level and you and you squad find him but a heavy comes and kills your sqaud and you are really injured and the heavys bout to kill you then prophet comes in and saves you and he guves you his nanosuit then then he dies from the cold.
Ya never know, it could really happen but I doubt Richard Morgan could come up with that peice of crap lol

I don't think the Pinger can be piloted by humans. No footage or proof..

Prophets gunna go Black Ops on Alcatraz's ass, hel whip out an alien Grim Reaper and hotwire it to track the nanosuit 2, and theyl have a massive uberbattle until they are blown into so many pieces their atoms merge and make a nanosuit 3.0

Were getting ahead of ourselves, the Pinger was an Alien heavy armored vehicle. Or walking tripod, if you feel more sci-fi to reality. I don't really see a pilot able to handle that piece of weaponry from its shape. Look at it, the design and the size of those cephs/aliens.
