ProsCons

Instead of nagging about how long the DLC will take to come out like why not just have an intelligible debate over the actual pros and cons of the game itself. There is nothing more annoying than a bunch of 12 year olds getting on here wining about a game that was purchased using their mothers Mastercard. If the moderators look at this stuff, maybe they will take suggestions into account. Who wants to start?

Ah, you wish mature, fair minded debate? Im sorry, you have this forum confused with Yale or Harvard lol Hmmmmm. Well I dont have very many gripes, especially after seeing the proposed tweaks.

I do think certain choke points need to be re-evaluated. Container City for a certainty can be a an absolute [censored] for a casual game of strangers, & even with a few friends can be a flipping nightmare for security :sadvaultboy:

Other than that, im not really sure.

You know where "proposed tweaks" are located? Please link :P

LACK OF:
-of teamdeath match
-one shot kills
-one man wolfpack style multiplayer gameplay
-not being able to stroke my E-ego with 5 levels of prestige
-jumping and grenade spamming is no longer a valuable combat technique

-Adding an emphasis on moving AND shooting,
-teamwork
-being able to reflect myself in the game with character customization
-class based gameplay
-maps have a different feel (generally speaking) every time I play them.
-Not looking at "photo-realistic" graphics
-small gems of comedy ingame
-the PSN community.
-weapons have distinct feels to them

All these are my PROs.

My CONs are:
-No lobbies, matchmaking, or party system.
-texture pops
-more maps would be nicer, but it's not a deal breaker for me
-Having such a cool environment, but only knowing a tiny bit of information

Thanks! Some of the jargon is over my head, but I'll see what happens.

Cons: The game that came out.
Pros: The idea. The art. The what-could-have-been.

Weapon tweaks and balancing isn't going to save this game, the real issues need to be addressed in order for it to succeed. They could still have something unannounced included in the update but I'm not holding out much hope at this point.

What's there to save? I'm enjoying it as is. Since patch ive had very very lil lag & am having a great experience, this dlc is a cherry on my Brinky flavoured cake of scrummy gaming goodness lol Plus theres a further patch coming with dlc so maybe it'll get even better :celebration:

Well I'm glad you're enjoying the game so much but not everyone can look past the issues with an unfinished game, SD/Bethesda not sticking to their word and the general lack of any communication to the fans. Now, since the community continues to dwindle and the dlc with weapon tweaks will only bring a small group of people back momentarily, when will they say enough is enough? That will be once the community gets too small that the cost of creating new content and working on updates will outweigh any funds they'll be bringing in.

If the bigger issues keeping people away (primarily there being no lobby, poor matchmaking, lack of game modes) are addressed then the community will most likely start to grow and there will be a brighter future for Brink and continued support with new DLC's.

Let's hope for the second!

I'd be surprised if they don't fix the matchmaking. It's the biggest thing holding the game back.

I respectfully disagree on the lack of game modes, I find plenty to do in game, but the lack of lobby is a beef. Dont think thats gonna get fixed any time soon since it was one of their selling points. You have to make an xbox party first, then one of you join game, then hit start, invite party. Assuming they can all fit in the game you found & no-one lags. Bloody pain.
