Protection against Vampire attacks?

Is there a mod like this? I like the idea of raids but if somehow I fail to protect the NPC's and a city becomes even less populated then now, then I gonna go nuts. Towns in Skyrim are already horribly empty.

I'd like to see a mod which does exactly the same as the ''Dawnguard no vampire attacks'' mod except in the form of a always running script instead of a amulet.

At what point do the vampire attacks start in Dawnguard? I installed it recently and have just started a new character (just been wandering around Riverwood so far) - do they start attacking towns immediately or is it level-based - or do I need to do something to initiate their appearance?

Far as I know, you need to complete the first quest of the Dawnguard questline, aptly named "Dawnguard".

Thanks - glad to know it's not forced down our throats like the dark brotherhood assassin attacks of Tribunal!

Mighty Dragons has also a plugin that makes quest-npc protected (they can be killed only by the player).

The only problem with that though is that you'll break radiant quests by eliminating the vampire attacks all together. The amulet is probably the best route to go for now until someone comes up with something better that doesn't utterly break quests.

The amulet doesn't even take up the amulet slot, it's just a method in the inventory of easily turning the script on or off. "Equip" the amulet and the script starts running every so often, "unequip" it and the script stops. It doesn't replace whatever other amulet you're wearing, it's just a friendly way to turn the script off or on in game, it's not an 'actual' amulet!

I'm using that mod and it's great.

During my play through I just avoided going to settlements at night; never had a vampire attack occur midday.

Once you complete the main quest of DG they stop, for the Dawnguard side that is, not entirely sure about the vamps.
