PS3 Capture Card

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 12:35 pm

Does anyone know of a good capture card for the PS3? I need one just for capturing HD stills, not interested in video and I'm in the UK.

Thanks.

I wish I could find one---I'm interested in capturing gameplay and uploading the video to my YouTube account.

Is there a way to capture PS3 footage using the Sky+ HD box? Or could you do via a camcorder?

You could probably do it via camcorder or you could find a video splitter and connect the PS3 to the splitter then connect the slpitter to the PC and use a video editing program like Pinnacle Studios, to record gameplay. Here's that video splitter----> http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Eforcity+-+3+Port+HDMI+Switcher+Splitter+Switch+for+HDTV+1080p+High+Speed+HDMI+Specification/4561481.p?id=1218483847229&skuId=4561481&st=video

Cool I'll see if they do it in the UK. As long as there is no software that needs to be installed I should be fine as I work on Mac. I have FCP so I'll just use that.

I think as long as you have a video editor software a video splitter should work.

I'd like to do some LP's myself. Games that no-one on YouTube have done like Duke Nukem:Total Meltdown or Evil Dead: Hail to the King. I got the pc that can handle it, I got the software now all I need is either a capture card or a video splitter.

I use a Hauppage, probably not what your looking for though. But it is the best way to capture true HD.
