The load times are fairly long but still bearable, and you often play long stretches of time without any loadscreens. The game has a mandatory install at almost 8GB.

To be honest I wouldn't buy the PS3 version yet, there are some pretty major graphics bugs. It depends on how much you care about visuals.

Load times are okay.
The visuals however are broken even after the required 8GB install as stated by the above poster. I would stay far away from this version at the moment.

Give me an example of a major graphic bug?

There's texture pop in everywhere. And by everywhere I mean: textures pop in if you look right, textures pop in if you look left, textures pop in if you look down, texutres pop in if you approach an object etc. It really detracts from the experience.

The texture pop-in on ps3 is not as bad as its been made out to be. If you stop and look for it by moving/turning very fast from a stationary point, yes its noticeable. During actual gameplay like driving around or shooting things up, it is not noticeable at all at least for me. I have a 7200rpm hd in my ps3 so maybe that helps. Level loads are also not long at all.

Having a HDD with higher RPM or having an SSD does help, which explains why you are having less issues. On the standard PS3 HDD it's pretty terrible and no game should require you to upgrade your HDD in order to perform.

Ok, i'll agree with you on that. But rest assured, id will fix every problem on every platform. They have always delivered over the years. Something i can't say the same for many other developers. Since texture pop-in is happening on all platforms, its just a matter of time for them to optimize the game.

The texture pop-in is not a bug. It is by design.

It's very playable on my PS3. I think it's a great game and without a fast enuff PC or a 360, it's my only choice. I think the game is great, I have seen much worse technical issues on PS3 games and what issues RAGE does have is NOT ruining the game for me. I am loving this game!

Agreed. I'm loving the game too. Lots of stuff do and i'm taking my time playing. Its very very playable for me too.

Only issue is the texture pop-in but i have to stop and look for it to see it. Otherwise its fine and runs great. Would be nice to have more menu functions like a quick save button because going to menu and saving frequently is tedious.
