Ps3 Neon Green-Blue Settings. FramerateTexture?

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 4:57 am

So I dunno if this falls under a Texture problem, or a Frame-Rate problem, or any other kind of problem. I'm considering it to be both.

Operating 60Gb Ps3
Problem:
When out in snowy mountains, or walk into new towns (like Riften or Solitude), even bringing up menu in water and then going back -
I end up with a very flicker-ish (and sometimes in chunks and pieces) setting that scratches-and-flickers a neon green-blue. Very similar to this color!

I remember this problem with Fallout 3 once in a while. Color is similar to the Pepboy txt. Only it would vanish when you enter a location and come back.
Sometimes it's EVERYTHING - for instance when doing Daedra Quest for Calvicus Vile and in a cave,
the entire cave will flicker all over consistently in chunks and pieces and remain neon green-blue until I leave.

(I have shut off my Ps3 for ten minutes, rebooted, and found the current city I am in [Riften] no longer having this problem. Ps3 too hot?)

Is it patch-worthy of being fixed, is it the game, or is it my system?
Other people having this problem??
Anyone having problems similar to this???

Help me Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Sincerely,
You're my only hope.

Post Script: If it happens again, I will take photographs and upload them!

Very similar to the problem I've been encountering the past two days. However, I have to agree with Tsori is the possible problem:

I noticed that when I shut it down and let it cool off for about ten minutes or so, the problem *does not* come back.
Tried it last night before bed, and tried it this morning and the problem didn't happen.
Am wondering if my system is dying!?!?!?!?!?
It has great ventilation and strong fan, rarely every used before in the past, and the only time this has happened has been with Fallout 3 once in a while...

Maybe the Game is telling me, "Go take a break!" when this happens!

I've had the same issue. Except, the color of the textures are usually white rather than green or blue. It started happening very badly when I first entered Solitude, and now the problem is plaguing me... Usually when I enter other towns, like Whiterun.

Yeah! Does it happen a lot when you're out in the snowy areas?! Gaaah! I hope our Ps's aren't burning out!

... Think there could actually be a patch for this?

I've not found any news on if this could be patched, but I came across info that it -is- the game and -not- the system.

Think there will be a patch for this problem?
