Ps3 owner concern

Post » Sun Aug 05, 2012 10:00 pm

Not to be a worrier or anything, but with what now looks like a real problem with Skyrim, I am a bit worried about even gitting this game. I rilly don't want to live the Skyrim drama again.
Do I cancel my preorder or not?
Is whatever problem there having there something I need to worry about in Dishounred?
What do you think?

I think people need to realize that Arkane is making this game not Bethesda and to have the faith that they'll make a good port. Just because this game has the name Bethesda on it doen't mean it'll be Skyrim all over again. To be quite honest I wish people would be quiet about how there scared it'll be Skyrim over again. This game isn't open world, this game isn't sticking to some dumb date to release the game on, this game doesn't have 2000 quests that could possibly get bugged unlike Skyrim.

Its a different style game, different developers, different engine. I don't see any reason why the game should suffer the same problems.

People are not unreasonable to have their concerns but not because of it being published by Bethesda. We don't know how well it holds up on PS3 but Arkane are claiming that they want the game to run on each system as intended.

It does get old though. Two things happened because of Skyrim: a lot more people think games should be some open world 200 hour epic adventure, and now more people think any game with the name Bethesda is gonna be buggy.

Edit: When I said it gets old though I'm referring to people thinking this game will be buggy because of Bethesda, I understand why someone would be worried about the PS3 port but to say Bethesda is the reason your worrried is unfair to Arkane

You're asking a very reasonable question, krazy. The resulting answers are a mix of frustration at people who are particularly hyperbolic when suggesting that Dishonored can't possibly be good on the PS3 for a variety of reasons. The truth is that Arkane is traditionally a PC-centric developer who have been provided the time and resources by Bethesda to make their ideal game on all present platforms, PC and otherwise. Apart from PC-specific elements, every version is supposed to have parity. The 360 version is the one that is shown at all the shows though. If you're not feverishly desiring this game, it wouldn't hurt to wait a couple days for reviews.

Like others said, Bethesda would have nothing to do with any technical issues on this title.
