It's new content for those specified platforms.

We're not getting into the specifics of what content is being released right now, but we are working on bringing content to PS3 and PC. It'll be content that's not already on those platforms.

To be clear, the tweet means there is new content for PS3 and PC users.

Mounted combat came within a title update. This is more than a title update.

No, not yet. But it is add-on content.
It has been http://www.bethblog.com/2012/08/02/dawnguard-ps3-update/ that the PS3 version will be delayed a bit as they are still working to ensure acceptable performance on the platform.

Gstaff, on 30 August 2012 - 06:52 PM, said:

Earlier in the month, we provided an update on Dawnguard's status for PS3.

It's been a few weeks, and we wanted to make sure everyone knows where we're at with Dawnguard. Skyrim is a massive and dynamic game that requires a lot of resources, and things get much more complex when you're talking about sizable content like Dawnguard. We have tried a number of things, but none of them solve the issue enough to make Dawnguard good for everyone. The PS3 is a powerful system, and we're http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1413248-ps3-release-for-dawnguard-thread-23/# to deliver the content you guys want. Dawnguard is obviously not the only DLC we’ve been working on either, so the issues of adding content get even more complicated. This is not a problem we’re positive we can solve, but we are working together with Sony to try to bring you this content.

We wish we had a more definitive answer right now. We understand the frustration when the same content is not available on all platforms. When we have an update, we will certainly let you know. We deeply appreciate all the time and support you have given us, and we’ll keep doing our best to return that.

Additional information from Pete Hines in response to Dawnguard:

"Yes, it’s just doesn’t perform well in all scenarios. Some folks would be fine, some would not.”

One of Bethesda’s top PR execs, Pete Hines, (who holds the position of VP of PR and marketing), tweeted to a question that concerned the release date, saying, “No, we will not release it if we can’t get the performance to an ‘acceptable’ standard. Our stance on this has not changed.”

Our team is still working to make PS3 content available on PS and doing everything possible to make it a possibility.

And as noted in http://www.bethblog.com/2012/12/03/dragonborn-coming-tomorrow-to-xbox-live-coming-to-ps3-and-pc-early-2013/, we’re hard at work to make Dragonborn available early next year on PS3 and PC. On PS3 in particular, we turned our attention to Dragonborn, as we thought it was the best content to release first, and we didn’t want folks to wait longer. Once it’s ready to go for everyone, we’ll continue our previous work on Hearthfire and Dawnguard for PS3. Each one takes a lot of time and attention to work well in all circumstances and all combinations of DLC. Once we have a better idea of release timing and pricing, we’ll let you know.

If we were just told that Dawnguard and Hearthfire were coming to PS3 then that would stop a lot of complaining and I'd be content. It's the uncertainty that I hate BUT if we were guaranteed both then I'd be happy waiting until next year.

Just out of curiosity, when did this happen?

During the development of Dragonborn. We've got folks that work on different things, but we decided that releasing Dragonborn first was the best plan.

Focusing all efforts into releasing DB is a good idea IMO because DB looks as if it's the best DLC yet and the one I really want to play. Of course, there are people who would like to play the DLC from order of release and that maybe an issue. As for pricing, I wonder how much DG is going to be and how far along Bethesda is at solving the problems they had with DG for several months now.

@Summer-

Fashionably late in thread number #43. It's nice to have a few extra forbidden breaths....Keeps us guessing who'll have the last post! ;-)

In respect to the quote above...Hmm....Well he's now stated that they are consciously working on the previous 2 DLC's but how far have they gotten with them? I'm not intending to sound ungrateful for this level of openness but possibly telling us what the progress level is and what the problem is...does it crash, does it work but there are flying midgets and swords that look like genitalia.....Be specific, it can't hurt to tell us which is closer and why. Openness. It'll make the difference to most of the unhappy people.

I don't have a specific date that I can share yet. When I do, you'll know as soon as possible.

GStaff, will the PS3 community receive any kind of compensation for the overt delay of DG and HF, assuming they even get released to the PS3.

And if not, what will you do to make it up to the PS3 community?

Okay. I was just wondering at what point all the "We're working on it," lines stopped applying to Dawnguard and Hearthfire. I guess the lack of any results or substantial updates five months after Dawnguard's initial release is to be expected if you guys stopped working on those several months ago. How long was Dragonborn in development, and how soon into the process did you guys decide abandon the other two projects in favor of this one?

I know back on August 30th you guys said you were working with Sony to solve the problems regarding Dawnguard, so the project hopefully would have been abandoned after that. Is Sony still involved at all, or did they pull out when you guys reallocated resources to Dragonborn?

Has putting Dawnguard and Hearthfire on hold in favor of Dragonborn helped you guys figure out a plan of attack when it comes to bringing those DLC to the PS3?

@GStaff-

I don't want to put you on the spot, so if you know but can't say then please just say that that is the case, but with the two previous DLC's, which would be easier/which is more likely to be able to be brought to ps3 first, Harthfire or Dawnguard? I've save a lot of goods and have almost 1550hrs of saved game time with 5 characters but my main one is almost 550hrs, has 4.5mil gold and huge amounts of metals and things to build with as I am really looking for the Harthfire one.

Simply, do you know which is less hassle to convert of us, DG or HF? If you can't say then just say.

Please.

Perhaps they thought by now that the PS3 players would no longer care about Dawnguard and Hearthfire.

Please Matt correct me if I'm wrong, which I hope I am, but it feels like Bethesda is pushing Dragonborn out the door before DG and HF so that you can pacify the masses of PS3 users whilst simultaneously CYA's so that you can say, "see we were telling the truth about DLC," and collecting what you can before the PS3 users get a message from you or Hines saying, "we've exhausted all possible avenues for Dawnguard and Hearth Fire for the PS3 but are unable to complete the DLC. We apologize but...it's not worth our continued resources"
