loading screens also have this problem where it displays the loading image in hi-res and 2 seconds before the level loads it downscales the image.

also halfway from the forearm to the hand it blurs for some reason, same problem happens with the neck of every character, you can see a line where its attached.

Hopefully bethesda acknowledges that the ps3 version also suffers from this and is in dire need of a patch.

This sounds exactly like what the 360 version i have does. I noticed it happens when you bring up the menu. Start the game and everything is peachy. Bring up the menu for anything (inventory, collect items on enemies) and the menu fuzzes out the background. After that, textures on hands, items and the world get downscaled.

It's not a ps3 problem, it's a skyrim problem, and because it's so specific, I expect a patch will be released soon (I hope) to correct it.

>> However, its so obvious, Bethesda would have seen it in pre-production. If they could have fixed it, you'd think they would have gotten at that point. :-\

I tried everything possible even got it on a new disk, tried it on my other ps3 and nothing :/. I'm starting to think this game wasn't made with old ps3's in mind.

We are together my friend and yes indeed but they will need an extensive patch the game until now is very flawed,They should have held off maybe a little and had more testing phases :[.

If/when there is a patch, does it show up and install automatically on PS3?

I've noticed, as well. It only seems to affect a select few textures (such as clothing) and isn't too extensive, as far as I can tell, but it's there and it's annoying. How Bethesda didn't catch this, I do not know. I'm worried it's possible that they're fully aware but do not want to do anything to fix this for any platform. What's going on with the 360 version seems worse, however.

If the plan was to make Skyrim look like Morrowind then they could've at least put Morrowind on the disc as well.

Hello people, made an account not to complain but to add to the info on whats going on here. I brought a brand new ps3 to play this game, 160 gb slim and was having issues earlier. it was wierd though; it was only in two places, both large places, one was solitude where I was getting the blue flickering reported and the place with the dragon wall, but when I returned to both places they were fine and running really smooth. So I don't know the technicalities but a patch to fix it,

also not to jack the thread and haven't checked if this has been mentioned. But we keep getting this wierd arrow glitch where an arrow or two will just stay in you for ages and appear and dissapear, not a major one it's just annoying and looks silly.

Other than that the game is too good.

It's a known issue: Drop all of your arrows and then pick them back up and it should fix it.

i think its safe to say that there is alot of room for improvement when i just played oblivion and the dungeons were crisp clear compared to skyrims, sometimes it looks like the game is using qaa because at parts its blurry as heck, compared to oblivion which didnt have any anti aliasing
