PS3 Trade In Program?

I apologize if this has been discussed before, but it's been on my mind for awhile. I play games on my PS3, PC and Wii. I almost never buy games at release prices. In fact I can only recall 3 games (out of all the games I own, which numbers in the triple digits) in the past 4 years that I've bought at release price. Skyrim was one of them. Unfortunately, I bought it for the PS3. I had a couple of freeze ups early in the game, but generally no real problems (other than not being able to hit a dragon with arrows for anything :P). I got up to almost level 50 before beating the main quest, just because I was enjoying it so much I did so many of the side quests and built up my smithing to lvl 100, and several of my other skills. My point being, imagine how disappointed I was to pay nearly 80 dollars for a game (tax + shipping and handling add up), only to find we can't get any of the DLC (at this time at least).

I would gladly get the PC version, but aside from sales (which still price it over 40 bucks), I can't justify paying full price for the game TWICE. Why not have some kind of PS3 trade in program wherein we send in our PS3 copy of the game for a download credit/coupon for a different platform? I'm not even saying it needs to be a straight up 1 for 1. But a $25-$30 discount for the PC or Xbox version would be nice. It's not like they wouldn't make money regardless (even if you bought Skyrim on sale, and then rebought it with a coupon, they've still made a profit off of the total sale, not to mention it would allow players to now purchase the dlc which would add more $$ to their pocket). Truth be told, if the regular price of the PC version went down (why on earth is it still 60 bucks after over a year, for a game that's notoriously limited on the PS3?) I'd still consider buying it as is (sans discount), but it just seems with the unavailable DLC, and the lack of reduction in price (game manufacturers need to stop following the Call of Duty m.o., wherein the game sells millions of copies so instead of reducing the price, they leave it at release price, whereas most manufacturers discount the price after awhile to entice the "later comers"), that PS3 users are basically bent over a barrel. I understand a lot of PS3 owners don't have the alternative platform option, but for those of us who do, why not extend a friendly hand of good will?
