Ps3 version looked better than 360. Hope this is true after

So I wanted the best experience while playing Skyrim so I bought it on both consoles to compare.

After putting in about 6 hours on both, and having both games running at the same time to compare graphics and performance while switching back and forth with a click of hdmi source I chose to keep the ps3 version.

IMO the game looked better on the ps3. It looked richer, better lighting and colors. The 360 version looked washed out and the graphics were sharper they just looked off, something I can't describe it looked cheap and outdated and showed the age of the Xbox graphics. The ps3 version is a bit more blurry but this IMO, once again, looked better to me.

The game performed better on the Xbox. It seemed to run at a constant fps, while the ps3 had some issues with fps in some areas. ( the beginning dungeon for instance) With this being said I still chose to keep the ps3 version and return the 360 version. It looked that much better to me that a few times in the 6 hours i played the fps drop didnt bother me . I guess it just comes down to each persons preference.

I am now 60 hours in, have a 10 mb save file and still don't see the game crippling fps issues. I am not saying it doesn't happen but when I first heard about the issue it was said it started at 6 mb, then 7 mb.... I kept waiting for it to happen. Now its up to 11 mb before it happens. I'm still waiting.

I just hope that this new patch doesn't lower the visual quality of the the game on my ps3, because I chose the ps 3 version for the graphical advantage in the first place.

Still waiting on confirmation of this issue, can anyone else confirm that after the patch 1.2, the graphics are less appealing?

You know i agree with this. I did the same test and the overall aesthetic of the ps3 version is better. IMO the ps3 version has a dreamy ethereal feel while the xbox version while sharper has a 2-D cut out toyish feel.
But then again at least you can finish the game on the 360.

I did the same had both and the 360 looked and ran much better...... I had to recalibrate my tv for the xbox360 version....colors had to be tweaked, once that was done the 360 looked great..

my save file was around 8.5mb before the lag became an issue after 2 or 3 hours of play... i find it hard to believe that you havent had crippling lag with so much played and at 10mb save.. unless you only played for an hour or so at a time
