ps3 worries

Post » Tue May 08, 2012 5:31 am

hey and thank you for all the replys, i read today that people who have a ps3 and have played skyrim have experienced some "hikups" with menus taking forever and a day to work, the game being really laggy etc etc, what im wondering is this just for some people or is the ps3 version just falling behind the xbox and pc, and if thats the case do people think the first day patch will sort this problem?

Lag has been somewhat of a problem since MW on consoles. But from my experience, it isn't too bad, or lasts that long. In OB i just stood still, let [censored] load up for a couple of seconds, and it was fine. Not heard of the menu lagging though, where did you hear/read that?

you really need to chill man, from what i've read from multiple gamers (both xbox and ps3 owners), it really seems like there isn't a consistent problem across the board, some of them have reportered no problems whatsoever, some xbox users have complained about the textures, some ps3 users have complained about lag during horse riding, it really seems like its down to an individual basis...

I'm not sure about actual performance, but from the little PS3 footage I've seen it looks like the graphics are at least a little bit better than on xbox.

Nothing terrible, one infinite loading screen has been reported but that's about it. It's splendid.

OB's menus were lightning fast IMO, it was Fallout3/NV that were painfully slow and laggy to me..

Usually was for me too, but the odd time they would lag out. Like i said, wasn't a huge problem or one that lasted long.

Ive been playing Skyrim on the PS3 for a couple of hours. Usually, the first time you do something like change the settings, the game will take about a minute to load. However, the main problem i have experienced is with combat where there is lag, especially when using magic.

Overall, the game is working better than i thought.

Yeah I know what you mean, OB would hiccup a tiny bit if you were like, rapidly going through tabs or something.

But in general I don' think people have anything to worry about. Bethesda wouldn't release a game, or let alone advertise it like they are and make such a huge deal out of it if it was going to be junk on any console. And even if there are problems on the console versions or any version, they'll fix it with a patch. They're not going to be like "SKYRIM!!! OMFG SKYRIM GUISE!!!! 11 11 11!!!!!!!!! YEAH WE MADE A NEW ELDER SCROLLS!!!! SKYYYRRIIIM!!!" and when you play it and report all these alleged bugs you'll get an answer like "Oh, well... That svcks then. Wait for the new one." Nope, because that's what everyone seems to think will happen. And besides, this is the Internet, I could tell you I'm a busty young blonde who lives in California and frequently goes clubbing, but I'm not, I'm just a pathetic upstate New Yorker guy who sits on forums all day. Just like how a lot of people can say they've played the game, and make up all these massive problems. Sure I understand some people actually do have the game early but I doubt every bug story is legitimate. Have faith in Bethesda guys, they do their best and we'll get a high quality game here. :celebration:
