Is psn holding up the release?

Post » Sat Dec 04, 2010 10:35 pm

If sony is the cause of delaying the next DLC release, then let them send hard copies to their members (overnighted for free). But this raises a whole new question. If their members are being compensated for the security flaws, then its fair to say that they owe xbox, and pc users for delaying the release. You know they are more interested in getting the network online and "secure" before worrying about dlc's.

Hard copies of the DLC overnighted to every PS3 user that has NV?

They would still have to purchase it.just let sony pay for shipping. Why should we wait another month because of their mistake.

There's rumours that PSN is up in Japan, so i guess it won't be much longer until it's up for rest of the world too.

This would be nice, but it will never happen. Most likely we ps3 users will have to wait until the PSN Store is back up and running.

I cant really think of anything else that would be holding it back. But, you can never be too sure.

I think the patch being broken pushed back the dlc the devs stated they wanted to stabalize the game before releasing dlc so it would make sense that their working to fix the patch and then release dlc, I doubt they'd make everyone wait because psn is down yes they want a simultaneous release but holding up a good portion of sales doesn't make any sense.

What I'm more confused about is the damn trailer. It's complete but yet zero notification of it's release.

Man, why does Japan get everything first? It kind of svcks that they get everything awsome in terms of technology and then we get it a year or so after

Anyways, it shouldn't be holding up the DLC, they way i see it, it comes out and then us ps3 users have to wait until PSN is back online.

Released globally as in the DLC will still be on the internet of the PSN store, while xbox members and PC members get to download it first, while PSN has to wait for it to go back up in order to download the DLC. Do you understand what I am saying?

Obsidian can release this anytime they want, PSN has nothing to do with the delay, as releasing it globally means that the files are there, but the internet to download it isn't.

Maybe they're making sure it's not broken as well.

I'm thinking that's pretty likely at this point maybe they discovered a game breaking bug and our still scrambling to fix it since I doubt they want to bring any more attention to the amount of issues this game has had since launch and with each new patch that would also explain why they aren't telling us anything no one wants to say hey that dlc that we said was done well it was really broken so it's going to be a little while, but in all honesty it could be any number of reasons that has nothing to due with the dlc itself such as not wanting to compete with another release so it's being delayed.

psn is not holding up dlc. if psn is not up by the time they bring it out it just means ps3 users will get it at a later date
