Pure archer build pointers

i want to make an archer that rarely (never) uses anything but a bow yet can see some problems with this. i would like some advice from archers on how to go about this. is there a powerful bow i can get early in the game and a place that has a good supply of arrows? also does hunting animals increase archery or just hostiles? im aware of angi and plan on seeing her to level up some but im wondering is there a way to level up archery easily?

im using a bosmer and a female, 2 firsts for me in TES and i already know i'll have to be sneaky to not get pwned constantly so i will definitely perk up archery, sneak and probably light armor even though i have plans to wear little to no armor eventually.

any tips or tricks of the trade will be appreciated

Never had a problem with it. You can still shield bash (do that in tight quarters). I found the Hunting Bow to be really nice at the lower levels. Also, take advantage of Faendal. He can help you level Archery to 50 in short order, then you pay a visit to Angi. After Angi, I usually hunt down the Archery skill books.

Doing damage with the bow will increase skill - doesn't matter if it's hostiles or animals.

You'll want to perk up through the Archery tree to Quick Shot and Ranger. Do that as soon as you can. You don't need more than one level in each of Critical Shot and Steady Hand.
