Coincidentally I have made a resolution not to drink for a bit as well recently.
Mainly because drinking takes up so much time.
Not only do you do nothing on the day that you are drinking, you also do nothing the next day as youre recovering.
I have better things to do with my time.
Also, Im halfway through my thirties now and no longer a young buck that can just shrug everything off. Ive had back aches for I guess six weeks now and Ive noticed that it gets worse when Ive been drinking.
So thinking that might be my liver or kidneys protesting, and thinking that there are a lot of things Id like to do in my weekend except drinking I decided to give it a rest for a month or three.
Im one week in now and its harder than I thought it would be.
I dont usually drink during the week, only in weekends and I have no trouble at all not drinking during weekdays, so I thought it wouldnt really be a problem. My problem seems to be that I can have no drink or a lot of drink, but I find it hard to only have one drink.
Only I was wrong and I did miss it last weekend. Oh well.
In any case, I support your effort OP and perhaps we can aid each other with the knowledge that other people are trying as well.
I find things are easier when youre not the only one trying.
