PvP Content?

Personally PvP has never peaked my interest in any MMO I've played. Sure I'll do it casually with friends now and then but I always find myself questing or doing instances. The reason I don't like PvP is simple, I don't think I make a difference. When there's 100 people facing 100 people I feel like even if I'm very good it won't matter once the battle starts. Sure there's a rush when you see a massive amount of people charging inside the fortress like the video they showed us with the catapults. But I feel like there's too much riding on the lag or chance when you PvP, UNLESS the game is created for PvP and it's crisp so that you don't die to a random lag spike or the pixels being a little off. I feel like games that are created for PvP ( For example Star Craft 2) excel in PvP and games that are created for PvE only excel in PvE. I'm sure someone will read this and think " Wow this guy is an idiot." This is just my opinion if you feel I'm wrong feel free to tell me so. Also in most games you either focus on PvE or you focus on PvP because you can't be great at both unless you sped massive amount of times enchanting your equipment and in most cases you have to have separate equipment for PvP and PvE. I'm not saying that I'm going to hate the PvP in this Elder Scrolls I'm just saying how could they make this fun ? Thoughts? Or am I expecting too much of this game because I'm such a huge fan?

with a group or guild or bunch of friends, PvP will be glorious. I assume they will have even good 1vs1 moments in Cyrodiil in PvP ;) (they have said that Cyrodiil consists of every level and amount of PvP etc etc )..

I can see how that would be fun. However, from what I think I read Rouges go sneak in while any other class had to wait outside the foretress? Once they open the doors ( while killing healers )you storm in, wait 2 hours.. Then grab the thing you need to grab. That doesn't sound like fun to me. Because to me it takes less skill when you have healers spam healing and sure there might be strategy but not that much. It just seems that the more people you have the less skill you need.

Now that's something I can get into. 1v1 - 6v6 the skill needed to win goes up.

I dont have friends, I dont want to be in a guild and I want open world pvp for 1vx PvP encounters. I agree that 100vs100 will be downed to a zerg where groups will focus on a single target for a quick elimination and advancement - that is why I will probably roam borders, seeking for loners. To be good in PvE you just need a gear ( in TESO PvP gear and PvE will be the same ) and dozen of geeks with your standard bread eater intelligence and decent eye-hand coordination. PvP requires much more from an individual than PvE ever will be - that is why I dislike whole idea of making main focus on aoe aspect in PvP, that is the wrong path

I dissagree if you think PvP takes more skill. When you're in an instance with 5 people cooardination is key. Anyone messing up kills the whole group. A good example for this is the Tera endgame instance. You could only have 5 people in the instance and one dying meant certain death for the whole group. While massive PvP encounters are like you said "will be downed to a zerg where groups will focus on a single target for a quick elimination and advancement." If your average bread eater and hand-eye cooardinted nerd could do it then an instance clearly isn't that hard.

what I meant was intelligence - and yes PvP takes a lot more skill in this aspect. You can make monkeys move like a little soldiers, it is much more about practise and discpline than anything else.
