There is only one server.

PvP happens only in Cyrodiil, which is a huge map where you can gank people.

You can enter Cyrodiil at lvl 10 and level all the way to max level there, ganking others and doing organized PvP.

Everyone entering Cyrodiil will be scaled to lvl 50 but only true lvl 50's have all the skill points, etc.

no. It's a mega server, and PvP is only in the Cyrodiil area, and you must be level 10 to get there.

this is what eso needs and exactly what I and several others have been asking for.

having different servers! pvp, and pve servers is whats needed for some real freedom just like elderscrolls titles have offered in the past in single player games. freedom to go where we want and do what we want. 50+ and 50++ bandaid just isn't cutting it.

Well, mega server prohibits multi-server.

ESO kind of does have a PvP server though. Its called going to Cyrodiil and participating in a Campaign. Everything you could want to do in open world PvP can be done in Cyrodiil. (Well besides ganking lowbies)

If Cyrodiil is anything like the fronteirs in DAOC, which it looks to be, it will fulfill your PVP needs. Trust me, Once you try it you will probably like it more than full world open PVP. I had the same feeling as you towards PVP but DAOC's system was better and I realized that once I tried it.

Its doesnt fulfill the need of ganking, some people just cant live without it. That is the cause of all the ranting around this

So ganking people inside of Cyrodiil won't count, because they know they "might" be in danger even if they're doing the PVE content there such as public dungeons, crafting, quests, etc. that the devs have said is there alongside the entire Alliance war? Personally, I'd count solo roaming even as "ganking" in some contexts, but there's absolutely the opportunity to fight amidst PVE-oriented parts of Cyrodiil (at least from what ZOS has revealed in interviews).

I think people are underestimating just how enormous Cyrdoiil is going to be in this game world... it's not going to be small zones where you can see each keep from another in jogging distance and be there in 20-30 seconds. It sounds like it's going to be far more like DAOC where you're talking several minutes between different major landmarks, and there is a lot of both PVP and PVE objectives that people will be working on, fulfilling both roaming solo attacking alongside the entire Alliance war and organized group/faction play.

Now, if your definition of ganking is more in line with full-on griefing such as butchering hordes of lowbies with ease and no way for them to fight back in the slightest, then no, you won't get that completely here. Lowbies will be much less powerful than max-level (50) players (they can enter at level 10 technically), due to lack of skill points, enchantments/procs, gear, etc., but they will hit you for more than one tenth of a percent of your health per swing due to bolstering. It sounds more to me like, from the context of your quote, that you're referring to griefing, not ganking.

Frankly, that's one of the good things about an RVR setup: people who go out there want to be in danger or know they would be at risk at least. However, it doesn't appear it will facilitate just flexing your muscles over competition that literally couldn't kill you by game mechanics even if you were AFK, thankfully.

Well... if they "can't live without it", they they do have another option... Just saying.
