I have this quest and I also have the book, matter of fact I had the book befor I got the quest. Now when i go to the location the chest that the arrow points too is empty and I cannot continue the quest, nor can I drop the book, any help would be appreicated

have you tried droppingt he book and picking it up again?

By coincidence I had this exact same problem come up tonight.

The fix does work, but the console code is actually player.drop 0001AD03 1

ah crud, forgot quantity

also, i've found achievements still work when using console.. amusingly enough.

I just left the college and reentered. Talked to orc dude and he was like BY THE NINE YOU FOUND IT!
