So, loving the game so far, had a few small glitches but nothing major, until I came to near the end of this quest. I posted this in here as it does not, according to a quck google search, seem to a platform specific bug.

Have nearly finished this quest and just need to get the fragment from Geirmund's Hall. Problem is...I cleared it ages ago and now when I go in and get to the bit where the fragment should be, the quest marker is showing it underground. This might be related to the fact that when I originally cleared this place I could not find the corpse of the boss when I killed him and assumed that maybe there wasn't one to loot. I did spend ages looking aorund to make sure though.

It appears now that his corpse has fallen through the floor and can't be looted, which is annoying as I can't do the quest now

Are you playing on PC? If so, try and advance your quest using the console (~), and try the following syntax:

Setstage dungauldursonQST 7 (or 8 or 9, try them all but save before).

I'm not sure if this is going to work, but it's worth a try.

Hey, sorry forgot to mention I'm running on PS3, so can't use that unfortunately

I've seen a similar fix for PC players that use the console to create the fragment, no fair lol

I don't think there's a way around this bug for you, then. It's the only "game breaking" bug I've encountered in my 61 hours through the game.
