Quest Loot & Rewards

Post » Thu May 10, 2012 6:23 pm

Now that people have the game... Are quest specific loot and rewards leveled this time around? I understand that dungeon levels are "locked" around the level you first enter them. But does the same go for when you accept quests, or enter quest specific dungeons? I ask this, because one of my biggest gripes about Oblivion was waiting until I was a specific level to start a quest in order to get the best possible quest loot & reward.

I haven't found anything beyond steel so far. I haven't even SEEN anything beyond steel. So I really do suspect there's some leveling behind loot. And I've heard there's leveling behind what vendors offer.

Of course, this could be only because I've visited the first two towns.

It's seems to be same as fallout.

Depending on the level and day/time you go to the vendor what they have changes.

Prior to me sepaking with the greybeards the vendor only had hunting bows with 11 damage, now se has an Orc bow with 16 damage that does look a little sixy I must say

Found an enchanted glass warhammer, was lvl 9 at the time! It was dungeon loot and not a quest-reward.

Anyone have any advance on this? My play time is limited. Im not bothered about vendor scaling. Just quest rewards. Do they scale with your level?

They scale with difficulty and time mostly. Loot scales with level.

Finishing a quest line can see you with a phat about of coin in your murse.

I personally had the plan to make a character to be a thief so I could steal and get rich, buy the best [censored] then do quest. But quest rewards are better than most of what you can steal and I'm rarely short money now.
