So I delivered ED-E to the Brotherhood of Steel for the armor upgrade, but after at least 1 in-game week I still didn't get it back.

I think the problem might be that I also needed Lorenzo (the upgrade guy) for the Still In The Dark quest too, and this caused some sort of glitch because I gave him ED-E before asking for the air filter details. Unfortunately, I don't have any saves prior to this malfunction.

I'm hoping the devs can resolve this in the next patch.

I had a similar problem, but I did get him back it just took a while. Lorenzo had a quest marker for me to ask about the filters, etc, but he must have been in a floor or alternate dimension because I couldn't find him for the life of me. Lorenzo reappeared after I was notified that ED-E returned to Primm, though. Once you do get him back, you may experience another glitch I encountered. ED-E doesn't follow or fight anymore, just appears after I fast travel and make his moving sound, but remains bobbing in one place. Should've brought him to the followers.

How long did it take you to get it back? I watched some YouTube vids on ED-E and for all of them it took 3 in-game days for it to return to Primm.

im having some what of the same problem i did his quest but i did it to get the laser upgraded it said he was back in primm but the marker was by goodsprings so i went there told him to fallow me and about 5 min later i noticed he wasnt there. i know hes in my party cuz i have his added perks and rex growls at him. i looked on line and there were two thing i found. you can go to vault 22 fix the elevator and go to the bottom floor and your companions should be there. ed-e wasnt for me and the other one was you do the in game waiting until you get a notice saying they went back to were ever it is you got them from but again didnt work for me with ed-e.

You have ED-E and Rex in your party??

no i,m trying to do the quest with rex but because ed-e is still with me i cant

it took roughly 5 in game days. luckily i had a save right before i gave him to lorenzo, so i loaded that and brought him to the followers to see if it would fix his not moving glitch. they took 2 and a half days and it took a little while but he eventually stopped moving after that, too. i don't know if it's his quest or something else that froze him up for me, but i figured i'd just leave him in primm until the patch comes out. have you tried just sleeping for 24 hours over and over to see if he eventually comes back? you have to wait until your hunger/H2O levels and other notifications go away before the "ED-E has returned to Primm" thing pops up.

i gave ED-E to the FOA and its been over a week in game and no return to primm message. the quest marker shows me to go to Lorenzo and i am unable to talk to him
i dont have a save to reload
any ideas?
