question about crysis 2 configuration files

Post » Mon Sep 27, 2010 10:44 am

i like many many people would love dx11...who wouldnt. but i also see a file in the crysis 2 folder called "d3dx10_42.dll" without the quotes. is there a way for you software guru's to make this file fire off dx10 on crysis 2 launch? or is that possible...hope this makes sense. i mean if someone could make the game have dx10 thats better than dx 9 at least.

I saw that too and wondered myself the same thing. I'll ask around in another forum with overclocker friends and see what they say.

If the calls to the dx11 dll's are not included in the game, then the dx11 dll is of no use... and unless you have the full source code it is impossible to "hack" into the game to get dx11 running.

i understand but i was refering to the dx 10 file i found in the bin 32 folder not dx 11 at all as i know this isnt even in the game...yet.

i was wondering if its possible to make dx 10 work in crysis 2 not dx 11 sorry for any confusion
