Question about cure disease potions : V

Do cure disease potions cure getting infected by a vampire or do I need to do something else.

I know this is the Skyrim forum but how about Oblivion also?

Cure disease potions cure vampirism, but only for the first three (I think) days.

IDK about Oblivion.

They cure vampirism in Oblivion too. I know this because I used a potion to cure vamiprism on my Oblivion character just last week.

Even easier in Oblivion - Mandrake cures anything & you can get it in the Garden at the Arcane University (just easier for low level players when you don't have coin for potions).

IS there any one ingridient in Skyrim that will cure disease like Mandrake? I just got into the habbit of buying potions...

It doesn't cure Vampirism, it cures Sanguinare Vampiris, which leads to vampirism if not cured.

Hawk feathers have the 1st effect as cure disease.

My bad. Anyway, it's three days, right? I usually drink a potion or head for the nearest shrine ASAP when I catch it. So far, none of my characters have had any wish to become a vampire.
