A question about Dawnguard

Post » Sun Nov 18, 2012 9:25 am

Hey guys I'm thinking about downloading Dawnguard on my 360 today and I read that people are attacked by vampires/ werewolves in towns and city's so I'm just wondering will such events occur if the DLC is installed but I don't start the quests?

When I first down loaded DG, Iwas using a high level character, started the DC quest and the attacks started. I started a new character but have not started the DG quests, and have had 2 minor attacks. Now that is not proof that you won't have them, but with the first character I had a LOT. Also, fast traveling seems to trigger them, whether you actually see them or not. You may come back to a city and find that some NPCs are dead. IF I fast travel I always run around looking to see if any vamps have spawned (because they don't have to spawn by you), and check again before I leave....

They sound like a nuisance more than anything, but I tend not to fast travel much now so I should be fine.

Thanks for the info.

attacks start on towns at lvl 10, however wild attacks can occur at any level.

They are meant to stop when the DLC is completed but some experience a bug that makes the attacks continue regardless

Other than the glitch the attacks tail off eventually after you finish the main line, actually i miss them, then again i very rarely fast travel

During the whole DG quest I did not have any real problems with attacks. Only one attack upset me because it killed the merchants wife at the War Maiden. Now I can only sell to one and not both. Since finishing the quest I've not had another vampire attack.

They probably should have named the DLC "Adrianne must die!"

Does everyone lose that female blacksmith in whiterun?

She just always runs up and dies
