Question about an NBA jersey.

So yesterday, I was at a thrift store. I was looking around and saw a Lebron James jersey back when he was in Cleveland. Now, I'm no fan of his, but I figure that years later when he retires, I can sell that jersey for a lot of money. (Since he is kind of a big deal in the NBA.) But I want to know what value could it be in the future?

It looks almost exactly like the official NBA jerseys. It has the NBA/Nike logo, everything. The only thing is that I think that the previous owner might have added a "C" at the front collar. Other than that, I believe that the jersey might have been worth around 100$ by today's standards.

But Lebron James is one those big shot players who's every word and action is known by the media and most NBA fans. I'd imagine that jersey would be worth much than that when he retires. And especially so since this jersey was when he was on his first NBA team.

And I believe the C is just the initial for Cavaliers.

Probably not much considering his rather acrimonious departure from Cleveland.

I see your point. But one could also say that Clevelans was his first team, so it might have more values just for that. I guess when it comes to that, it could just depends on how a pawn shop owner feels about it.

C on a jersey usually stands for captain...not sure about basketball though. Also official replicas are never worth much unless signed or something but a player worn jersey is big bucks for a big name player
