Question about Skyrim Script Extender

Post » Wed Nov 14, 2012 10:11 am

I want to add the Skyrim UI mod to my game through subscription from Steam. The mod says I need Skyrim Script Extender to do so. Here's the question...Will Steam place the script extender in the proper load order (I assume first), or am I going to have to unsubscribe to my other mods and resubscribe to them after subscribing to SSE? (I only have 3 other mods...)

Thanks in advance for replies...

@ deaths_soul - I was hoping for a simple answer rather than read 17 pages of posts in that thread to find my answer. Thanks for the rapid reply, but all of that is a bit overwhelming...

No, that is the thread for such questions. Start with the very first post. It should tell you what you need to know.

Because the first post in the Script Extender thread won't quickly clear up part of your confusion, I'll comment quickly here.

Skyrim Script Extender is not a mod, and Steam doesn't even know it's there. You don't subscribe to Script Extender through Workshop, you download it from the Script Extender site (as linked in the thread death_soul pointed you to). Do look at the installation video linked in the first post there, it may make things a lot clearer :).
