can someone please tell me if Dishonored uses real magic, and spells?. I just bought the game and don't want open it if that is the case.
I also would like to know do you have to use magic in this game or can it be played with out using any powers?

Yes you can beat the game without powers
,but the fun in the game is using them both to make creative experiences.

If you don't open something because it has magic, that would be in-all not thought move.

In the sense of spells....what Corvo uses I believe is more like chants..The best part is, you don't need or have to use any of the magic "skills".

You don't have to use them, but they're fun and offhand I can't think of any game that has spells like the powers Corvo gets access to. He doesn't shoot anyone with fireballs or lightning bolts, in other words.

But as others have said, it's not only possible to play the game without supernatural powers, there is an achievement for doing so.
