A question about the Ovens.

Post » Thu Nov 15, 2012 9:16 pm

So I guess some of you seen the new pictures of Hearthfire.
Also this new feature was shown in the trailer.
Anyway , do you think Ovens will be added also to the existing places like in Taverns ?
Or they will be exclusive to the built homes ?

The ovens themselves might not be added to taverns, but I'm sure the products made with ovens in Hearhfire will be added to these vendors.

I love this DLC already. As soon as I saw the video I was like  . The baking just sealed it. Roleplaying really makes TES that much more enjoyable, and I like that more is being added to the overall experience. More importantly: now the bread is coming from somewhere. (And I wonder if the flour/grinding mills will now work since flour is an in-game item with this DLC?) Also, for the love of the gods, I hope potatoes can be baked in this because the magical baked potatoes really drives me crazy. (Along with the always raw clam meat and ungrillable leeks.)

It's time to replace the Gourmet. Well, he is dead already in my game.

They sure did add a lot of new foods though. Which is always good.

Here you go. Take a close look at the menu options...they're a bit hard to see but they're there:) Looks like we can be a part-time baker. No wonder skeevers and giants are attacking your house...your plot will smell better than the mall food-court!!

Except they're not reallt sweetrolls, they're giant hairballs that my Khajiit yarped up. No, officer, I don't want to press charges. Figure whoever tries to eat one of those things, he'll get what he deserves.

The DLC is really Role-Playing based

That's one of the biggest draws imo. $5 for a great role-playing experience. Finally, I can make a sweetroll because someone kept stealing mine! (probably the guards)

I should be wary though about getting excited for this.

Gotta love the food and cooking additions. As a culinary student, I always like to cook, so the food-related RPing is great for Skyrim. I have always been impressed with how awesome the magickal benefits of the food are, and they've been needing to expand on the food/farm economy and realism of the game for a while. Also, incorporating a realism/hardcoe system option for food, water, and sleep would go well with this.

Overall, a nice $5 RP DLC. The gameplay will be improved for me because of this, as well. Basically, this is a nice way for them to finish a lot of what they didn't finish by release last year.
