A question about the vampire lord

Post » Fri Nov 16, 2012 5:11 pm

So, I play on PC so I don't have access to Dawnguard yet and I have a question.
Are the vampire lords powers affected by your characters skills? In other words: do you have to have loads of magicka and magic related perks to be powerful?

Yes.

An example is a higher illusion with perks causes the Vampire's seduction spell..for your normal Vampire form to work on enemy characters and NPCs level 15+ if you have the perks..my guy is lvl 81 and he can do it on any enemy except Maven black briar and dragons for some reason.

Vampire's seduction when casted now allows you to feed on people.

No, I don't believe they really matter. You have to fire Drandouken after Draindouken to run out of magicka it regenerates so dang fast. Yes they effect it. No they aren't really needed.

I put no points in anything magical, and i'm ok. Don't forget the rings you can get........... (in this DLC vamp quests).

No, the perks don't effect the VL form but your magicka, health and stamina stay the same, for instance I have a high magicka meaning I can pretty much just spam drain and use grip to my heart's content without worrying about magicka going down anytime soon.

And if you ever do you have the mist form to recharge everything and you don't take damge.

Also a few of the non-VL form perks do work like the atronach perk works with the VL form and the necromage perk works aswell.

I totally forgot about mist form, man I cannot wait to play Dawnguard ugh, mist form is basically etheral form, paraylze and bat teleport would be enough for me, That is too OP (in a good way).

atronach with mist form with how much magicka my mage has  , I wonder if regeneration stacks too? omg VL is just going to be NASTY

This svcks because my vampire mage has no perks in illusion what so ever... ugh, the first build I was going to originally go with would have been perfect.
