Specifically, audio tracks. Is the english dub present in all editions? I'm in Italy but I'd rather get the original audio if possible.

on ps3 yes on 360 no from what ive heard.

That's my worry also. I called the Gamestop where I placed my order and the guy answered more or less literally "herp derp no clue but the collector's edition certainly does and it barely costs 100€ more. Oh and it's out of stock."

I can't stand the prospect of spending 300 hours listening to the noble but still probably depressing italian dub....

I have a feeling that they lied to you. I don't think that the original english audio is an extra to be in the CE. If is is there, it will be in the standard edition too.

Yes but if you're not italian you get to enjoy some musical language you don't understand. As an italian, most videogame dubs ruin the experience as 90% of them essentially sound like the pizza delivery guy reading an address book. A particularly funny case was when we had Prince of Persia: Warrior Within dubbed by Monica Bellucci. It was so hilarously bad and of course no original audio track was present. Bethesda put a lot of effort in the english dub of Skyrim, trying to improve it and multiplying the actors tenfold, it would be criminal to rob EU gamers of Max von Sydow & co.'s work.


As for lying... I'm already prepared to fight the herp derping I'll get when I'll remind the guy that I'm supposed to get a soundtrack with my preordered game.

Bethesda games ALWAYS have limited audio tracks. It was the case in Oblivion, Fallout 3, Fallout NV, RAGE (haven't played others, but I a sure it is the same with them) and it is so with Skyrim. There is a UK version with English only, a French/German version, an Italian/Spanish version (methinks), etc.

Bethesda wants to make more money, so they limit the cheaper versions (UK) to only have limited vices so they can sell the more expensive versions (German/French)...why they insist on forcing me to import the cheaper UK version is beyond me, though...if they had the original English voices in the German version, too, I would happily pay 70€ instead of just 60€ for the UK...

Depressing.

That makes no sense though, example would be the scandinavian countries, surely we get english versions as thats our 2nd language, and german/french are POSSIBLE 3rd languages, while spanish will RARELY be a 3rd or 4th language.
I expect that non spanish/italian/german/french speaking countries get the english versions right? Right?? Not that I actually care for my own sake, but it would seem incredibly stupid if not.

..Okay that's just silly, sorry Dutch copies have English as standard, thank God. You could look into grabbing one of those, or ship it from the UK. Could take a while longer but beats 300 hours of foreign languages since the voice acting is really great this time around.

Of course. The Spanish get Spanish, the Italians get Italian, the Germans get German, the French get French, and everyone else in Europe gets English.


I'm glad that nobody thinks it's worthwhile to dub for our little country.

In The Netherlands they do pretty much everything with subs, dubs are pretty much limited to movies for kids.
