Question about trading in an Xbox 360 Slim 250GB

I have some questions regarding trading in my Xbox 360 Slim 250GB to GameStop. Okay, here's the deal. I have a high-end gaming PC that I use as my main gaming platform, and I also have a PS3 that I use. I want to pre-order the $150 Collector's Edition of Grand Theft Auto V at GameStop tomorrow, but I can't afford it, but I have some stuff I don't use anymore.

  • Xbox 360 Slim 250GB (Perfect condition with maybe some superficial scratches)
  • Power brick and cable for the 360.
  • The Wireless black controller that came with the system
  • 3 wireless controllers (white) from my previous 360 (work fine)
  • Forza 4
  • Mirror's Edge
  • Grand Theft Auto IV
  • The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Collector's Edition with all original material including the coin.
  • LOST ORIGINAL PACKAGING FOR THE 360.
  • LOST THE AV CABLES FOR THE 360 (I use HDMI, left the AV in the lost box.)
My question is whether or not they will accept this, and how much do you think I would get for it all (store credit)? Selling it online is obviously the best option, but it's too short notice. I only have until Monday to pre-order the GTA V CE. I'd appreciate any help.

They will accept it however don't expect to get anything extra for the collectors items of the Oblivion set. Might as well keep all of those, and just give them the disc and case.

That's the site I use whenever I try to figure out what to trade in at GS and how much I'll get. Usually, it won't be much, but sometimes you can actually make a pretty penny with the use of coupons and special sales/bonuses. I know you'll probably get at least 45 for the controllers, because they actually take them for a decent price. However, I would really suggest waiting until the right sale (ex. Extra 50% on every trade in, extra 75% for all accessories, extra 100% for all consoles) before you go and trade in an entire console. Waiting would be your best option if your actually intent on selling them, and I definitely wouldn't trade in an entire console for one collectors edition of a game. Even if it's GTA.

Choose to do what you want, but I honestly suggest waiting until the price is right before selling all that stuff. That, or sell it all on ebay.

Also; if you have a poweruprewards account, go to the website and check your points. If you have enough, you might be able to buy some nice coupons for your trade.

I traded in everything (minus Oblivion, I kept that) plus a few PS3 games today. I got $260 after the 30% trade-in bonus was factored in!!! $260!!! That is vastly, vastly more than I expected to get for this stuff. Thanks for the help guys.
