RP question and advice

I have a 2h fighter Nord. So far I've only used light armour and the highest quality is an improved set of scaled at that. I think it would be out of bounds RP wise to wear elvish or glass. My dilemma is with weapons. I've stuck with the Skyforge steel battle axe (which I've smithed to Superior), but as I'm now level 24, my mouth is beginning to water whenever I loot Ebony 2h weapons. Does anyone think that it would be out of character to use ebony weapons? It is a metal that is found in Skyrim, so it isn't foreign. Ths far ive used an Ancient Nord bow as well bit recently picked up an ebony one off of a deathlord. It seems to have a faster fire rate (not for certain) and it definitely deals more damage. I'm almost persuaded to use it as well. Looking for help clearing my conscience on this.

Not at all. I’ve always assumed that the draugr were Nords, so ebony weapons seem a natural choice to me. Of course that brings up the issue of looting weapons from his ancestors, but that would depend on your character. I wouldn’t expect all Nords to think exactly the same.

Hmmm... if my ancestor rises from the dead and tries to kill me all bets are off... LOL.
