Having just finished the section of main quest to gain auriel's bow, something struck me as odd about the conversation i had with Gelebor on his relating the story of the fate of the snow elves in Skyrim and that was that he refered to the dwemer as dwarves. surely as an elf himself he would have refered to them as Dwemer? does anyone know if there is a particular reason for this? it did occur to me afterwards that maybe he was using it as a derogatory term due to his didain for the betrayal of his people. I'm just curious to see if anyone else has any thoughts on this?

I thought that maybe he was talking down to us because we had never seen any Dwemer or would be likely to know much about them, so he thought the colloquial term may have been more appropriate. (I must say that Dawnguard has introduced some impossibly ancient characters like Harkon, Valerica, Serana and Gelebor.)

That is sort of odd. My vote would be for him being pissed off and using it as a derogatory name. But he never seems that pissed about anything, more just tired.
