Question for crytek?

I am not here to piss and moan about crysis 2 dx11 support. But I do have some questions which still may not be answered.

My questions is simple why are devs not supporting dx11 or really optimizing games for the new hardware out there. It seems without pc hardware consoles would have never been able to play the games they do now. So why not push the bar with pc's, and thus make the console have to upgrade? The consoles are weak and the potential for so much more is there but not being utilized it seems. See what you can do with all that power. It seems most games coming out this year will not fully utilize dx11, Bethesda just announced that it will support dx11 but in a limited manner. Dx9 is old, its dated, we need to make the console companies upgrade their hardware so why don't devs like crytek push this or is this something you guys do push but it falls on deaf ears? Will there be real progress made in the gaming industry if devs let the pc platform die? If its a matter of piracy you guys are all smart enough to think of a way for games not to be cracked. I am just lost as a pc gamer and wish someone would be bold enough to stand up for us.

Consoles rule the market. if a dev has to make a console company (Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo) upgrade, the dev would be out of business. the dev is at the mercy of the consoles, no matter how you slice it. they can not develop for the console and be strict PC and go out of business OR they could make it so Console manufacturers have to upgrade, still putting the dev out of business.

also piracy is ONE of the main reason devs do not like PC

I get that consoles rule the market but they would not be that driving force if pc's had not paved the way. I know piracy is an issue however I am sure there are ways for devs to make it alot harder to crack games. I guess devs are truly at the mercy of the console companies. But why put out a new dx version with improved features over past gens and not force hardware to follow across the board? Does Sony use dx features at all? Its just sad that there are honest hardcoe pc gamers who are willing to test new things, push the boundaries of their systems, so console companies should that this advantage, use us to test the latest and greatest so that when it comes time to upgrade the consoles again then they will have it in the bag! I would be willing to pay $60-$70 for a title that was cutting edge and I would be happy to give my input about how it runs, improvements, possible implementations on console!

The irony of it all is that the directX APIs are put together by none other than Microsoft. That's why XP can only run DX9 and you need windows 7 for DX11. So I guess the bottom line is that Microsoft gets their money either way...
