Question on heavy armor

Post » Tue Jul 24, 2012 9:27 pm

Just started a new 2 handed Nord warrior. Currently using the warrior stone, lvl 11 and I feel like heavy armor is leveling very very slow. Current perk trees look like this: 2 handed (48) 3/5, champions stance, 1/3 deep wounds. Heavy armor (29) 2/5. Block (22) 1/5. Smithing (40) steel armor.

Is it just me or is heavy lagging way behind 2 handed? I thought my two "main" perks would level a little closer together. Any tips or ideas, always welcome. Thanks

It depends on who you fighting at.
If you often battling with tough enemies, then your Heavy Armor will increase faster.

If you find it leveling slow either let some wolves beat on you or do brawls in Inns.

I have a 2 hand Nord as well, I feel like she kills stuff so fast she rarely gets hit.

Maybe up the difficulty?

If you want to grind, find an enemy, any will do, as long as they attack at a moderate speed or do a reasonable amount of damage. Use restoration to heal, and just backtrack when magicka runs low, but be sure not to run out of sight.

AFAIK, magic based attacks don't level armor. I could be wrong, but I honestly never remember seeing any of my light or heavy armored characters leveling their armor skills when facing mages.
