A Question of Morality

Post » Mon May 28, 2012 2:04 pm

Hi,

I got the quest in Markarth from Ondolemar to find evidence of Talos worship in Ongmar's (sp?) house. I found it, but don't want to turn it in to Ondolemar because he'd kill Ongmar, and Ongmar's cool. I searched for and found Ongmar to try and give it to him, and warn him of Ondolemar's intention, but no such topic is given.

So, is there any way to complete this quest without giving the evidence to Ondolemar that I missed?

Thanks!

An eloquent argument. Any answer, though? ^_^

Don't complete the quest. That's the option available to you. Shouldn't have accepted it to begin with.

You can either turn in the amulet or kill Ondolemar. Either way will remove the quest from your log.

By the way, it is possible to kill all three thalmor without getting a bounty or having anyone attack you. Late a night they'll be in a room with a sleeping legion guy. A guard outside will be moving nearby. While the guard is away and unable to see you, quickly kill all three elves (bow sneak attacks work well) before the legion can finish getting out of bed. As he gets up, put away your weapon and he'll forgive you. Do this fast enough and you won't even incur a bounty.

Moraly it won't affect you, because it wasn't really your fault, and really he was the one that asked you to help him, even if you do avoid getting inside the Talos worship shrine, he's alredy dead...

You're thinking of the guy who asks you for help after the Forsworn attack. This is given by the Altmer outside the Jarl's throne room.

or you could fury them... easier... and funnier... just do it when no one sees you and you won't get a bounty... and even if you do it's only a bounty of 40 because the killing is an act of self defense or someone else's actions...

I thought, since Skyrim is so well-detailed, I would've gotten the option to inform Ongmar and save him.

I guess I can follow SushiSquid's advice and just murder them all ^_^

Thanks again!

I always murder them all. I don't think I've met a single thalmor that hasn't ended up mysteriously dying. **** 'em.

Did Bethesda mean to make us hate them that much? cuz I do the same... then i purposely humiliate them by taking all their belongings, putting them back in thier inventory and shooting an arrow in their head... it's my signature...

I decided to do it. I wanted to see if the thalmor went to arrest him. But I saved for night and forgot to go check.
