Question regarding Aela and Marriage

Post » Fri Jun 15, 2012 7:15 pm

Hello.

After finishing the Companions Quest I married Aela the Huntress, after going out on a hunt with her we were surrounded by Draugrs and she was killed. However weeks have past since this has happened and I have received no letter of inheritance from a courier, which opens up another marriage option with a different NPC. Though I was able to recruit a someone to follow me afterwards.

I thought she might have respawned alive but she is not in Jorravskr or our Whiterun home. She died in a Nordic cavern or Crypt which had a pressure plate which rises and leads up to spikes in the ceiling which was in a hallway of lying down Draugr which led up to a room with two coffins at each side. Still trying to find this one as I thought she might have respawned inside this place. I am trying to search all the crypts and caverns at the moment and the only two ones on the Wiki pages I have searched and the place is not there which I am describing where I left her body. I am pretty sure the below picture is the area in which it is located. (Also Skjor returned to Jorravskr, what is all the about?) Anyone know where it is?

You can only get married once period.
Letter of inheritance=90 gold period.
Skjor is just a plain old bug period.

Aela has green [censored] on her face.

I can not. Get. Past that.

Thanks for the replies, I guess? But they had nothing to do with what I was asking. I need to find that tomb she was killed in to see if she spawned back in there alive, because I have received no letter of inheritance from Aela from a Courier and she has not "respawned". I suppose after completing the Companions Quest Line she became a normal killable character that had no more relevance to Skyrim?

http://i46.tinypic.com/fkwfx5.jpg - I need to find out where this Tomb is, it has a large circular pressure plate in a Draugr crypt that goes up to spikes. Thanks.

If she dies, she dies, and I don't think going back to where she died will help, unless it's to pay your last respects. (You might not be able to get atop the rising column which killed her either... I know I've seen one area like in your image, but the Quest I was on involved following another NPC into an area to recover some sort of treasure. There were definitely lots of Draugr and Deathlords there. But in my case it was the other NPC who got crushed on the spikes.)

Thanks, still searching for it. She didn't die by the spikes, the Draugr killed her and I placed her into a room which had two coffins on each side of the room. She was in the right one, even did the fire shout to cremate her. Because I have not received a courier letter, which I thought I would after a while, I just wanted to see if she might have randomly respawned in there somehow.

Never heard of a mamed npc respawning. Except Skjor, but that's a bug. It would be weird if people came back to life just like that, wouldn't it?

She's dead, even if she did respawn you could still receive the letter. On the PC you can kill and resurrect someone repeatedly to get mulitple letters.

Aela, if alive, would reappear if you fast travel or after thirty days goes "home". Home can be your marriage house or Jorrvaskr. I think the dungeon pictured is from Ustengav.
