Question regarding Dead or Unconscious bodies found

Post » Fri Nov 16, 2012 1:01 am

I tried searching but couldnt find what i was looking for.

I just completed mission 1 well actually Ive done it a few times when i get to the end and read the stats page I feel dissatisfied.
My problem is with the stat related to the topic. Ive had it as low as 1 and as high as 4 bodies found I know I was never seen got both ghost and never killed anyone. I hid most of the bodies and yet I still have them found. How does this happen? Do guards wake up and see each other if you put them together? If you never alerted or got seen do other guards come upon the bodies after Ive left the area? I was going for no bodies found and as much money as possible and you get money for not ignoring the guards. So I stealthily KO them. On the run that i did that had only one body found the last 3 guards i had swam past but you miss out on money (and so far ive only found 811 coins which is disappointing).
On this last run I had 4 bodies found but the last 3 i know i did ko them without each of them discovering that. Two i used sleeping darts the other just normal stealth ko. So please can someone explain what Im doing wrong and how important that particular stat is in regards to achievements.
I didnt give any game spoilers but I put it in this section just to be sure I didnt do anything wrong on the forum.
I appreciate anyones help that they offer.

Try hiding bodies in dumbsters and closing them. And beware of patrol routes. I believe that if a body is lain in the path of an NPCs patrol route - it will be found "automatically" at the end of a mission. I find it easier to avoid KO alltogether if possible. It is more frustrating when backtracking to chain-evade guards but leaves lesser risk of being found.

Im not totally sure how it all works yet.

It's very frustrating sometimes.... either the game glitches, or.... I've come to a conclusion that the rats
find the bodies and tattle on me ;)

Thanks for those ideas i have also started putting bodies in bushes so that there isnt a visible sign of them. I also dropped off a couple guards ontop of a cabinet that I had to climb. Guess we'll see at the end if its worse or better.
In most games having money is extremely important to buy stuff upgrade etc which is why Im trying to ko them all and get their money. Although I suppose I could try just stealing their money and moving on. Might try that if this way fails again. And its not actually failing of course I achieve ghost etc but for my own mind id like to get zero bodies found if possible dont know how long Ill keep that ideal up rofl.

I think the rats are ratting you and me out as well! lol

Thank you both for helping this old woman out I really do appreciate your replies :)

Later

Well, they DO snore, but not sure if its loud enough to be noticed... Dark Vision is how you check, right...? (don't have
that power yet, but I think it measures noise output also?)

There is an achievement that is affected by getting powers other than blink correct? I guess that means multiple play throughs if I want all the achievements lol Is that what your doing?

Yes, the "Mostly Flesh and Steel" .... likewise, there's the "Merchant of Disorder" achievement for getting
15 upgrades, so yes..... at least 2 playthroughs to get both.

Please note that the garden-variety Blink you get is OK, but upgrading it is NOT if you're going for the

Actually the mostly Flesh and Steel achievement only prevents you from buying powers with Runes, and The Merchant of Disorder is 15 equipment upgrades, I got both in one playthrough. It is actually a good idea to go for both in one playthrough since you can't buy any powers beyond Blink it is a good idea to upgrade your sword, crossbow and gun.

Oh, good to know...thanks Gray. Seems I misinterpreted what the achievements entailed; thanks for the correction. That's what I get being awake and trying to make sense at 4 am ;)

Yeah no problem, I agree that they could have worded some of the achievements better to make them less confusing.

I also thank you for explaining the achievements. I didnt look at them yet because sometimes the titles of achievements or the descriptions give away stuff. Thats been my usual way of thinking but a few times it would have been handy to know some achievements up front since they were missable. and there fore had to repeat game lol Im hoping there arent any missable ones although from what Ive read on here there are conflicting achievements like just even low or high chaos stealth or gungho :)

So its good to know I can try for both of those in the first play through.
