She appears in a loading screen but with a different armor, lacking a leather strap across her chest the other imperial heavy armors have. I went into the test cell but it seems her armor is not there. Does anybody know the ID for the outfit she's wearing in the loading screen? Using the "help" methods didn't return the ID of this armor, only of the standard imperial armor and several enchanted versions.

I don't know if anybody noted this but the female version of the imperial armor uses fur instead of chainmail for the 'gown' covering the legs. Why there is this discrepancy I cannot explain, but the fur seems more... appropriate given the climate of Skyrim!

The loading screens are separate meshes, probably so they can be lower-detail and not slow loading down. My guess is that what you see in the loading screen is an older version of her armor, which they changed slightly before release, but after copying the old design to the loading screen.

Though it's also possible I just don't know my armor sets very well.

There are all sorts of odd changes when you equip things on females.

I don't think that's Rikke in the loading screen. It mentions Imperials.

Thanks. I prefer the version without the leather straps. So the models seen in the loading screen are separate meshes made for the purpose. Well, I'll try to remove the strap from the armor working on the texture only via alpha channel. It has been done already for the 'ancient nord armor' (another mesh inexplicably very different for males and females) to remove unwanted props, so it should be doable for this armor as well.
