2 Questions about Level-scaling

Post » Thu May 10, 2012 2:23 pm

1. Does the wild scale to my level? (I know inside dungeons it does, but does the wild also?)

2. If I meet a monster named "Wolf" at lvl1, and a monster named "Wolf"(same monster) at lvl 15. will the wolf Ill meet at level 1 will be strong as the one I will meet at level 15? If not, can you give me some details? (Like - is it because every wolf is never the same or is it because my character is higher level and the wolf strength scales towards it)

Hard to determine at this point -- once the CK is released it will be easy to check the variables to see what exactly is going on but until then it is hard to know for sure. Once we can load the files up in the editor all of the details can be looked at but until then it is all just observations from gameplay and no way to be sure if it is the same for all creatures in all places or varies.

1. No the wild doesn't scale to your level, and the dungeons only scale TO SOME POINT.
2. No they don't scale. I can 1 hit wolves now that I'm level 11. Ice wolves are harder, but you can also meet them at level 1 if you wander too far.

I'm betting JDFan's answer is correct.
